Purpose & Vision Behind Our Expansion
Currently, Our Mountain Tribe operates through the collective efforts of our team members and missionaries, utilizing both residential spaces and the facilities of generous partner organizations to host larger events. This new campus will provide our ministry with a central, consistent hub that will significantly expand our outreach and impact. It will enhance the efficiency and capacity of our ministry efforts.
Our phased approach is designed to begin operations from the campus as soon as possible, even before its full completion. We firmly believe that you don’t need everything to be perfect before you can start making a meaningful impact in ministry. We are excited at the blessing God has given us with this land and how its going to be utilized.
Fundraising Plan
-
Breaking Ground:
Acquire land. Clear, level, and prepare the site for construction. Build a gate and fence around the property to establish safety and security.
Fundraising Goal: Complete!
-
Missionary Home- First Floor:
Purpose: Build a larger home for the Lem Family, our full-time missionaries in Guatemala. As the leaders of our team, they oversee discipleship, outreach, and the planning and execution of all ministry efforts.
This new home will serve two essential purposes:
🏠Provide much-needed space for their family of six
🤝Create room for fellowship, discipleship, and ministry preparation right on-site
This isn’t just a house—it’s a key piece of our long-term vision. Once completed, our entire ministry will operate from this campus, strengthening everything we do.
Funding Goal: $100,000
-
Vehicle for missionary and ministry use:
Purpose: Right now, our missionaries rely on borrowed vehicles to do the work God has called us to. We’re so thankful—but it’s not sustainable. We have 3 reasons why this is critical for our ministry.
🚙 Support for Our Full-Time Missionaries
A personal vehicle will provide reliable daily transportation for our missionary team—essential for navigating rural areas, managing supplies, and meeting with local partners.🧰Year-Round Outreach Projects
Our ministry regularly hosts and participates in community outreach: food distribution, construction projects, home visits, and more. A vehicle will increase both efficiency and safety, especially during rainy season or in remote regions.🧳Shuttling Mission Teams in Summer
Each year, we welcome short-term teams to serve alongside us. Having our own vehicle will ensure consistent and cost-effective transport for groups, rather than relying on rentals or multiple borrowed cars.
Fundraising Goal: $20,000
-
Ministry Home Second Floor:
Purpose: This expansion will include four spacious rooms and a second living area, purposefully designed to multiply our impact:
🛏️ Host Short-Term Mission Teams during the summer, with space for families to stay together and gender-based group housing
🏠 Provide additional living space for our full-time missionary family throughout the year
🧑🤝🧑 Create room to host visiting missionaries, pastors, and church leaders—welcoming them with comfort and hospitality
🤝 Offer a dedicated space for discipleship, community building, and deeper relational growth through a second living area
When summer teams are not present, two of the rooms will be used as long-term residential space—ensuring the floor serves year-round.
🎯 This floor will complete Phase II of our campus—solidifying a home base for every person who partners, serves, and is sent through our ministry.
Funding Goal: $94,000
